1. Define Your Website’s Look and Feel

  • Choose Your Brand Colors: Pick 2–3 core colors to be used consistently on your site. (If you’re unsure, we can help with recommendations or a custom branding package!)
  • Identify Your Audience: Are you targeting men, women, kids, professionals? Local, national, or global?
  • Consider Your Brand Voice: Should your site feel formal, friendly, energetic, or minimalist?

2. Gather Website Design Inspiration

  • Browse website templates or portfolios for layouts and features that match your style.
  • Analyze competitors—even outside your city/state—for structure and content ideas.
  • Save links or screenshots of sites you like and note what you love about each (colors, menu, layout, calls to action, etc.).

Providing your designer with reference sites will help us tailor your layout, branding, and user experience to your goals.

3. Structure Your Website’s Navigation (Menu Items)

  • Home: Overview of your business.
  • Services: Describe your main offerings. If you have several, consider individual pages.
  • About Us: Tell your story and share your credentials, experience, or team bios.
  • Blog/Resources: Share educational content, updates, or industry news.
  • Contact: Make it easy for customers to reach you (form, phone, map, etc.).
  • Other: Reviews, FAQs, Portfolio, Careers, Online Store—include anything relevant to your business.

Review other leading sites in your industry to ensure you’re covering the most important topics and user journeys.

4. Provide Essential Business & Branding Information

  • Business Name: For header, footer, and page titles.
  • Contact Details: Phone, email, address, and social media links.
  • Service Descriptions: Short, clear summaries for each main service or product.
  • Calls-to-Action (CTAs): What do you want visitors to do? (e.g., call, book, shop, subscribe)
  • Logo & Images: High-res logo, photos, team images, awards, and any brand guidelines. If you need new branding, let us know!
  • Unique Selling Points (USPs): Awards, testimonials, certifications, or guarantees.

5. Ensure Secure Access to Hosting & Domain Information

  • Domain Registrar Access: (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap)—for connecting or transferring your domain.
  • Website Hosting Login: (if keeping your provider)—share securely via our client portal, not by email.
  • FTP/SFTP Credentials: (if needed)—use secure password sharing tools or our encrypted intake form.
  • We take your security seriously. Never send passwords over email. Always use secure sharing methods.
